What Customers Say About Bosch FL10 Flashlight for Litheon 10.8v Cordless Tools:

I think the reason is that when I saw the parts description, it was listed as an automotive bulb. Yeah, pricey at $170+, but the tight spaces it fits and torque power is outstanding. I had no difficulties doing this, so I have no idea what the other reviewer is talking about when he describes the horrible problem he had.So, I did search to find a replacement buld to purchase so I'll have it when the current one bites the dust. and search their parts site or FL10, the one replaceable part that is listed is the bulb, but the site constantly says it is not available due to low inventory. This is still less expensive than some of the Mag and DeWalt rechargeable replacement bulbs. I used it for months before one day it dropped from a step ladder while lit, and the bulb burnt out. It does get hot as other reviews mentioned, so be careful to give it some breathing room around the bulb lens.

Ironically it was the day after I read all the reviews about how the bulbs burn out so easily when the unit is jarred. I was easily able to open the replacement bulb enclosure and replace the bulb. I also got this as a free item with my 10.8V driver, which by-the-way is the best driver I have owned. I just could not find a bulb with the same voltage and amperage ratings. If you go to te bosch site[.]. This is because the part number is incorrect and they do not stock that old bulb anymore. The correct part number is: 2610998834[.].The cost was $2.55 and standard shipping made it $11.15 to my residence. However, if you do get one for free like I did, it will serve you well if you treat it with respect. I suspect there are other rechargeable utility lights that might be a better choice.

Anyway, the driver is not the subject of this review. What is really nice about the light is that it too fits into somewhat small spaces (for a tool-grade rechargeable light) and the rotating head is handy. Ahhh, now I never thought to check an auto parts store. I could find nothing. I checked all the home centers and electronics shops. Well, bottom line is the replacement bulb is inexpensive compared to its peer group. In conclusion, I would not purchase this flashlight as a standalone product unless the price was really affordable. and, yes, I concur it is very bright.

As just a standalone light, I would not bother. Light came free with my PS40 and I find it a useful addition. Rechargeable flashlights are always good, and it's nice to share the battery and charger with a tool that I'm already carrying with me on a daily basis. Plenty bright and a charged battery lasts quite a while in shorter bursts. It does get hot, so I would not use it for extended periods of time.

Not sure how long it was there but the lens melted and scorched the blanket before I noticed. The spare light bulb is accessed by using a regular screw driver on the black button with the lock symbol on the side of the light.

TOOL ONLYHandy little tool. Bosch 10.8V Litheon Cordless Pivot Head Flashlight.

Also, in response to the above reivew. As the above reviewer mentioned, it is easily knocked over but as a hand held (not standing) lamp it really works great.

The small size makes it an easy fit in tight spaces. Simply turn it a quarter turn and the spare bulb pops out with no effort at all.As a side note, my 2 and a half year old got a hold of my light and left it on facing down on a blanket.

Totally my fault for letting my kid near a tool but I wanted to let people know to be careful, this thing puts out some heat.

until 30 minutes later I dropped it again and of course it no longer works. It uses the same battery as the driver and the kit came with two batteries, so I thought that was great. Thank goodness it was free. For a light, it works great (and the rechargeable batteries are great). My needlenose pliers wouldn't even work. The light is round and isn't going to stay put if you lay it on its side.

The light immediately went out, wouldn't work. Of course, after I set it up, it tipped over and fell on the ground. I had only had it on for about two minutes. I figured the bulb went out and I set about to change it. I bought the Bosch Litheon 10.8V driver and got a bonus Bosch 10.8V Litheon light for free. The manual just says remove bulb. To access the spare bulb you have to go into an even tinier recessed storage compartment to pull it out.

I had to use a pick to slip in a cut out slot in the side of the bulb to pry and work it out. Replaced the bulb, everything is ok now. The instructions really aren't very clear. I charged the battery and took it outside to use it. Most likely another bulb.

The manual said a spare bulb was in a side compartment. When it comes to removing the bulb in service it is pretty deeply recessed in the light, and there is a tiny clip (the same color as the bulb base) that holds the bulb in place. Wonder how much those bulbs are gonna be. For a tool (any tool is going to get bumped around and dropped), don't depend on it.
